Lubrizol Names Abhishek Shrivastava as Managing Director for India, Middle East and Africa
The chemical company appoints industry veteran with nearly 20 years of experience to lead regional operations, focusing on local innovation and customer partnerships across key emerging markets.
Lubrizol has appointed Abhishek Shrivastava as Managing Director for its India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) region, the company announced September 1st. The appointment positions Shrivastava to oversee the specialty chemical manufacturer's operations across these strategic markets.
Shrivastava brings nearly two decades of industry experience spanning business transformation, research and development, manufacturing technology, and quality management. Most recently, he served as Lubrizol's Vice President of Innovation and Decision Science, where he developed innovation growth platforms and sustainable product initiatives.
"Abhishek's appointment reflects the strategic importance of the IMEA region for Lubrizol's future," said Rebecca Liebert, Lubrizol's President and CEO. She cited his technical expertise and ability to align innovation with customer requirements as key qualifications for the role.
In his new position, Shrivastava will drive regional growth strategy while emphasizing local team development and a "local-for-local" business model. His responsibilities include identifying market-specific opportunities and strengthening relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout the region.
The appointment underscores Lubrizol's commitment to expanding its presence in emerging markets. Shrivastava indicated the company will focus on localized innovation and regional partnerships to address specific market needs across India, the Middle East, and Africa.
Lubrizol, a Berkshire Hathaway company, produces specialty chemicals for transportation, industrial, and consumer markets worldwide.
