Liberty General Insurance Ltd. has launched Liberty Assure, an add-on cover for its motor insurance products aimed at improving the customer experience through enhanced service support and reduced vehicle downtime.

The add-on cover provides several benefits when vehicles are repaired at Liberty Authorised Repair Shops, including priority repair and delivery services, a six-month workmanship assurance, complimentary engine tune-ups and air conditioning check-ups, and free vehicle pick-up and drop-off services. For claims exceeding INR 15,000, the cover includes wheel alignment and balancing services.

A key feature of Liberty Assure is the waiver of compulsory deductibles on eligible claims, which is designed to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for policyholders during the claims process.

The add-on also incorporates vehicle assistance services covering onsite repairs, flat tyre support, and vehicle relocation in cases of major breakdowns. For electric vehicle owners, the cover extends to situations where the battery charge is depleted, providing relocation services to the nearest authorized charging station or repair facility.

"Motor insurance today must move beyond protection to delivering real, on-ground support when customers need it most," said Parag Ved, CEO and Whole-Time Director at Liberty General Insurance Ltd. He added that the product aims to reduce downtime and repair-related stress while ensuring consistent service standards.

Liberty Assure is available as an add-on to the company's Private Car Package Policy, Bundled Cover, Standalone Own Damage Policy, and long-term private car policies, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

Liberty General Insurance, which began operations in 2013, is a joint venture between Summit Asia Investment Holdings PTE Ltd., Enam Securities, and Diamond Dealtrade. The company operates across more than 95 locations in 28 states and union territories, with a partner network of approximately 6,500 hospitals and 6,100 auto service centres.
