Lexus India launched the All-New ES 350h in Bengaluru on August 30, 2026, introducing the self-charging hybrid electric variant of its eighth-generation executive sedan. The launch expands the brand's electrified portfolio in India with a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) option, manufactured locally and available in Exquisite and Luxury variants.
The ES 350h is the first model to lead Lexus's next-generation electrified vehicle lineup, which will offer both Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) powertrains. It shares its platform and design philosophy with the ES 500e, Lexus's first battery electric vehicle for India, launched in March 2026.
Speaking at the launch, Hikaru Ikeuchi, President of Lexus India, said: "Today marks a significant milestone for Lexus in India as we launch the All-New ES 350h... Manufactured in India, the All-New ES 350h embodies our multi-pathway approach to sustainable mobility, seamlessly blending advanced technology, exceptional ride quality, and luxury... We are confident that the All-New ES 350h will set new benchmarks in its segment, further strengthen the Lexus brand in India, and exceed the expectations of our guests."
The vehicle is powered by a newly developed hybrid system combining a 2.5-litre inline four-cylinder engine, an eAxle with an integrated Power Control Unit, and a lithium-ion battery, delivering a fuel efficiency of 25.22 km/l as per ARAI certification. It is built on a new platform with improved body rigidity, and is dimensionally larger than its predecessor, with a longer wheelbase, increased width and a taller profile.
Exterior design follows the "Provocative Simplicity" philosophy, featuring Twin L Signature Lamps at the front and Rear L Signature Lamps at the back. Colour options include White Nova, Sonic Titanium, Sonic Chrome, Graphite Black, SOU and Sonic Copper.
The interior is built around the Tazuna cockpit concept and includes a 14-inch high-definition touchscreen with the latest Lexus Interface, a fully digital instrument cluster, and what Lexus describes as the world's first Responsive Hidden Switches, which integrate physical switches into the interior design.
Safety features include the latest Lexus Safety System+, comprising an enhanced Pre-Collision System, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Drive Monitor (Luxury variant only), eight airbags, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic Emergency Brake, Blind Spot Monitor, ISOFIX child seat anchors, Automatic High Beam and Emergency Brake Signal.
The car also comes with Lexus Connected app functionality for remote monitoring of fuel levels and driving range, and remote control of engine start, door locks, window closure and the sliding roof, along with climate pre-conditioning, smartwatch integration, Live Car Tracking and Emergency Call support.
On ownership, Lexus India is offering a five-year Roadside Assistance package, an eight-year/200,000 km vehicle and hybrid battery warranty, an Assured Buy Back Program with a Guaranteed Future Residual Value of up to 65%, and Lexus Luxury Care service packages ranging from three-year/40,000 km to eight-year/160,000 km.
The ES nameplate has been part of Lexus's global line-up since 1989 and is sold in more than 80 countries. In India, the ES 300h, launched in 2020, was the brand's first locally produced model. Lexus entered India in March 2017 and currently offers five models in the country.
