Lexus India has announced an extension of its standard vehicle warranty from the previous term to eight years or 200,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. The policy applies to all new vehicles sold from 1 April 2026 onward and comes at no additional cost to buyers.

According to the company, the revised warranty makes Lexus India the first luxury automotive manufacturer operating in the Indian market to offer coverage of this duration. The announcement was made at the brand's Bengaluru office on 28 April 2026.

Hikaru Ikeuchi, President of Lexus India, stated that the decision reflects the brand's confidence in its vehicle lineup. He noted that the extended coverage is intended to give customers greater assurance over the course of their ownership, aligning with the brand's service philosophy of Omotenashi, a Japanese concept of anticipatory hospitality.

The coverage encompasses all Lexus models available in India. Alongside the warranty extension, the company noted that customers will continue to have access to supplementary ownership plans, including finance options, Lexus Luxury Care packages, insurance products, and roadside assistance.

Lexus entered the Indian market in March 2017 and currently offers a portfolio of five models. Its ES 300h sedan, introduced as a locally produced model in 2020, remains its most popular product in the country. The brand operates in over 90 countries and has sold more than three million hybrid vehicles globally.
