Lanxess AG will begin local production of its fire-resistant hydraulic fluids at its manufacturing site in Jhagadia, Gujarat. The announcement follows the recent inauguration of the manufacturing plant at the location, which is positioned to support the company's regional growth strategy.
The facility will manufacture the company's Reolube phosphate ester-based fire-resistant hydraulic fluids, which are used in applications requiring high operational safety and reliability. By establishing production in Jhagadia, the specialty chemicals company aims to bring its product portfolio closer to customers in India, the Middle East, and other global markets, tracking a rise in infrastructure investments, power generation, and data centers.
Neelanjan Banerjee, Senior Vice President and Global Head of the Business Unit Lubricant Additives at Lanxess, stated that local production in India is an important step to strengthen customer proximity and ensure supply reliability in a fast-growing region.
