Landmark Cars has partnered with OLX India to develop an integrated physical-and-digital, or “phygital”, platform for buying and selling pre-owned cars in India. The partnership will combine OLX India’s online automotive marketplace with Landmark Cars’ physical retail and service network.
Under the partnership, Landmark Cars will integrate more than 140 vehicle retail and service touchpoints across 12 states with OLX India’s online platform. Landmark says its network has served more than 500,000 customers since inception, while OLX India’s platform has more than 23 million consumers buying or selling used cars annually.
The combined platform is intended to cover the used-car transaction from online discovery through physical inspection and test drives, financing, registration transfer, vehicle handover and post-sale servicing and warranty support.
Landmark Cars And OLX India Used-Car Partnership
The rollout will begin in select cities before expanding across India, subject to the partnership meeting its stated performance metrics. OLX India will handle the online customer journey, including vehicle discovery and digital engagement. Its VAYA AI platform will be used for pricing intelligence, buyer-seller matchmaking, vehicle-condition intelligence and market insights.
Landmark Cars outlets will operate as physical “Experience Centres” for vehicle inspection and handover. Vehicles will be acquired and sold on a revenue-sharing basis under a co-branded proposition, with quality certification and after-sales services forming part of the offering.
Aryaman Thakker, Executive Director, Landmark Cars, said the company intends to build its presence in the pre-owned car industry through a scalable offering while maintaining financial discipline. He added that the partnership is intended to combine OLX India’s digital reach with Landmark’s physical network, inspection capabilities, financing relationships and after-sales operations.
OLX India To Handle Digital Used-Car Experience
Varun Sanghi, Chairman, OLX India, said the partnership will bring together online discovery, pricing, matchmaking, vehicle handover, quality assurance and after-sales support within the transaction journey. He said Landmark contributes its dealership network and physical presence, while OLX India provides digital reach, technology, data and market intelligence.
Landmark Cars operates dealerships for Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Jeep, Volkswagen, BYD, Renault, Mahindra & Mahindra, Kia, MG Motor and Citroën, in addition to Ashok Leyland commercial vehicle retail. Its operations include new-vehicle sales, after-sales service, pre-owned passenger vehicle sales and facilitation of financial and insurance products.
CarTrade Tech, which operates OLX India alongside platforms including CarWale, BikeWale and Shriram Automall, said its ecosystem serves more than 80 million monthly unique users. Its consumer marketplaces host more than 63 percent of India’s online used-car listings, while its remarketing platforms facilitate auctions of more than 1.5 million vehicles annually, according to the company.
