KPIT Technologies Acquires Caresoft Global's Engineering Solutions Business

KPIT Technologies Ltd., a global leader in mobility solutions, announced today the acquisition of Caresoft Global's Engineering Solutions Business to deliver enhanced cost optimization and innovative engineering solutions to trucks, off-highway, and mobility players amid intensifying industry disruption.

The acquisition comes as automotive manufacturers face mounting challenges from tariff uncertainties, strained supply chains, and increasing competition from Chinese OEMs. Through this strategic move, KPIT aims to strengthen its commercial vehicle vertical and accelerate its expansion into the Chinese market while enhancing its vehicle cost reduction capabilities.

"At KPIT, we are deepening relationships with trucks and off-highway makers and accelerating foray into China. Also, OEMs across segments are looking for a partner who can bring more agility and cost efficiency by taking an integrated view of software, hardware, and manufacturing. With Caresoft's strong expertise, we have a strategic partnership which will bring unparalleled value to the mobility ecosystem," said Kishor Patil, Cofounder, CEO & MD, KPIT Technologies.

As part of the transaction, Caresoft Global will restructure its business into three distinct units: Benchmarking, Technology Optimization & Cost Reduction Engineering; Engineering Talent Solutions; and Engineering Solutions. KPIT will acquire the carved-out Engineering Solutions business globally.

The partnership creates multi-dimensional synergies across four key areas. First, it deepens KPIT's focus on trucks and off-highway segments by incorporating Caresoft's domain expertise and client relationships. Second, it accelerates KPIT's entry into China through Caresoft's established presence and connections with Chinese manufacturers.

Third, the acquisition enables KPIT to enhance value creation through full vehicle cost reduction solutions across passenger cars, trucks, and off-highway segments. Caresoft's cost benchmarking and teardown expertise across hundreds of vehicle models has reportedly saved OEMs billions of dollars.

Finally, KPIT will acquire new capabilities in manufacturing and industrial engineering, plant layout planning, and assembly line optimization for the mobility ecosystem, helping manufacturers make design and production decisions from early development stages.

Mathew Vachaparampil, CEO of Caresoft Global, noted, "This milestone reflects more than growth. It honors our shared values with KPIT: being relentlessly customer-centric and caring deeply for our people. We will jointly deliver more value to our automotive customers in terms of technology, cost, and speed to market."

Avendus Capital served as the advisor to KPIT on this transaction.

KPIT Technologies, with approximately 13,000 employees worldwide specializing in embedded software, AI, and digital solutions, operates engineering centers across Europe, the USA, Japan, China, Thailand, and India. Caresoft Global, headquartered in the USA with global presence in Europe, Japan, China, India, and the UAE, specializes in automotive benchmarking, technology optimization, and cost reduction engineering strategies.
