KPIT Partners with IIT Madras to Offer M.Tech Programs for Employees
The courses focus on skills relevant to the automotive sector and are delivered online, allowing employees to balance work and academics, KPIT said
KPIT Technologies has partnered with IIT Madras to offer specialized M.Tech programs for its employees. The initiative, part of KPIT’s Higher Education Initiative under KPIT Academy, aims to enhance employee expertise in areas such as Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Advanced Digital & Image Processing.
The programs are designed specifically for working professionals and developed in collaboration with faculty and industry leaders. The courses focus on skills relevant to the automotive sector and are delivered online, allowing employees to balance work and academics, KPIT said. The selection of programs aligns with KPIT’s business objectives and industry requirements.
Sachin Tikekar, President and Joint MD of KPIT Technologies, emphasized the importance of upskilling in the mobility industry. He stated that the collaboration with IIT Madras would equip employees with expertise aligned with business needs and industry disruptions.
Prof. Andrew Thangaraj, Chair of the Centre for Outreach and Digital Education at IIT Madras, highlighted the significance of bridging academic learning with industry demands. He noted that the program would provide employees with advanced knowledge in AI and related fields to drive innovation in the automotive sector.
Eligible employees must have a B.Tech degree and at least two years of experience at KPIT to apply. The first batch has already commenced, and successful participants will be eligible for job rotations to apply their skills. The program will be open for new applicants annually.
KPIT Technologies specializes in software solutions for the automotive and mobility sector, focusing on software-defined vehicles and next-generation technologies. The company operates globally with engineering centers in multiple countries, collaborating with industry leaders to drive mobility advancements.
