Kinetic Watts and Volts has inaugurated its manufacturing facility in Ahilya Nagar, Maharashtra, marking the electric mobility division's entry into production. The 87,000 square feet plant incorporates automation and robotics-driven assembly lines designed for electric vehicle manufacturing.

The facility will serve as the production base for Kinetic's electric mobility solutions, targeting both personal commuting and fleet operations. The company has indicated plans to explore export opportunities as part of its expansion strategy.

"This facility represents our commitment to shaping the future of mobility with manufacturing excellence," said Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman of Kinetic Group, during the inauguration ceremony. The plant features digitalized operations intended to ensure production efficiency and adaptability to market demands.

Kinetic Watts and Volts was established in September 2022 as the electric vehicle arm of the Kinetic Group. The division builds on the parent company's presence in India's automotive sector, which spans over five decades.

The Kinetic Group gained recognition in India's two-wheeler market through models like the Kinetic DX and Kinetic Luna, which became popular urban mobility options. Founded by H.K. Firodia and currently led by Arun Firodia, the group operates through its flagship company Kinetic Engineering Limited.

The new facility aligns with India's push toward electric vehicle adoption and the government's initiatives to reduce transportation-related emissions. The plant's sustainability practices are designed to support these environmental objectives while establishing scalable production capabilities.

Kinetic Engineering Limited trades on the Bombay Stock Exchange under the symbol 500240. The company's entry into electric vehicle manufacturing reflects the broader industry shift toward electrification in India's automotive sector.
