Kinetic Green Tonino Lamborghini Launches Luxury Electric Golf Carts in Maldives
Electrify Maldives appointed as exclusive distributor, unveiling premium electric mobility solutions at TechEng 2025 exhibition.
Kinetic Green Tonino Lamborghini has appointed Electrify Maldives as the exclusive distributor for its electric golf and lifestyle carts in the Maldives, marking a significant expansion of premium electric mobility in the island nation.
The announcement was made at TechEng 2025, the Maldives' premier engineering and technology exhibition, where the luxury electric vehicles were unveiled on October 28. The event, held at Central Park in Hulhumalé and running until October 30, was attended by Ferruccio Lamborghini, Vice President of Tonino Lamborghini SpA, who served as special guest at the opening ceremony.
The partnership stems from a distribution agreement between Trade Promoters Pvt. Ltd. Sri Lanka and Kinetic Green Tonino Lamborghini Pvt Ltd, combining Italian design expertise with Indian manufacturing capabilities and local market knowledge.
The electric golf carts are offered in two product lines: the Genesis Range, featuring Italian-inspired design, and the Prestige Range, with futuristic ultra-premium styling. Both are available in two-, four-, six-, and eight-seater configurations designed for use across golf courses, luxury resorts, private estates, airports, and corporate campuses.
The vehicles feature MacPherson suspension, four-wheel hydraulic brakes, 45 Nm torque, and 30 percent gradeability. They are equipped with lithium-ion batteries offering wireless charging, a 10-year lifespan, and a range of up to 150 kilometers, backed by a five-year warranty. Additional features include TFT dashboards, LED headlights, wireless mobile charging, and practical additions such as golf bag holders and foldable windshields.
Dr. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, stated that the joint venture aims to disrupt the global golf cart market, which has seen limited innovation despite expanding use beyond golf courses. She noted that Kinetic Green aims to build a one billion dollar electric vehicle business by 2030, with this partnership playing a key role in the company's global expansion.
Ferruccio Lamborghini described the collaboration as a bridge between Italian design excellence and Indian manufacturing innovation, emphasizing the brand's philosophy of redefining everyday experiences into expressions of style and performance.
Kasun Abeyrathne, General Manager of Electrify Maldives, highlighted the company's commitment to engineering excellence and technical support, describing the partnership as a natural extension of its focus on performance and reliability.
The golf carts were originally launched globally on July 17, 2025, by Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Ltd. and Tonino Lamborghini SpA. The vehicles are manufactured in a facility near Pune, Maharashtra, and will be marketed worldwide under the Tonino Lamborghini brand.
Electrify Maldives, appointed in 2019 as the authorized dealer for Cummins marine engines and power solutions, will manage all local operations including sales, marketing, and after-sales support for the electric cart lineup in the Maldives.
