Kinetic Green Launches Rs. 82,490 E Luna Prime Electric Motorcycle for Indian Commuter Market

Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Limited has launched the E Luna Prime, an electric motorcycle designed specifically for India's commuter segment.

The new model builds on the success of the company's existing E-Luna series, which has sold over 25,000 units since its recent launch. The E Luna Prime features 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, a digital instrument cluster, and tubeless tires.

Available in two variants offering 110 km and 140 km range, the E Luna Prime is priced at Rs. 82,490 (ex-showroom) and comes in six color options. The motorcycle includes a front cargo area and is positioned as an alternative to conventional 100cc and 110cc petrol motorcycles.

According to the company, the E Luna Prime offers running costs of 10 paise per kilometer and total monthly ownership costs of approximately Rs. 2,500, compared to Rs. 7,500 for conventional petrol motorcycles. This translates to potential annual savings of Rs. 60,000 for users.

Dr. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, stated that the launch represents the company's commitment to transforming personal mobility in India through affordable electric solutions.

The E Luna Prime will be available through Kinetic Green's network of over 300 dealerships across India. The company targets the approximately 750 million Indians who do not currently own two-wheelers, representing roughly 50% of the population.

Kinetic Green, which also manufactures electric three-wheelers and has a joint venture with Tonino Lamborghini for electric golf carts, recently secured $25 million in Series A funding from UK-based Greater Pacific Capital to support its expansion plans.
