Kia India has recorded cumulative domestic sales of over 3 lakh units for its Carens product line. The milestone includes performance across the standard Carens range as well as its extended sub-brands, the Carens Clavis and the Carens Clavis EV.
The company said that the sales mix across the multi-powertrain family shows that gasoline variants constitute the largest market share at 60% of total volume. Diesel powertrains represent 30% of historical dispatches, while the newer battery electric vehicle variants account for the remaining 10% segment share.
According to internal customer data from Kia, premium top-tier equipment trims make up 18% of the model's total sales volume, indicating consumer demand for high-specification comfort features, multi-row seating configurations, and active safety technologies.
Sunhack Park, Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, noted that the product trajectory aligns with the company's broader multi-powertrain strategy to capture varying consumer demands within the regional multi-purpose vehicle market.
