Kia India recorded its highest-ever June sales of 24,552 units, up 19% year-on-year, and closed the first half of 2026 at a record 1,63,749 units, driven by sustained demand for the new Seltos and its expanding EV lineup.reported wholesale volumes of 24,552 units in June 2026, marking its highest-ever June sales since entering the market and a 19% increase over 20,625 units sold in June 2025. For the first six months of 2026, the company dispatched 1,63,749 units, its strongest-ever first-half performance, registering 15.2% year-on-year growth over 1,42,139 units in the corresponding period last year.
The company attributed the performance to sustained demand for the new Seltos, along with the Sonet and Carens Clavis, while the newly introduced MY26 Syros has also drawn an encouraging customer response. Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, said the record first-half performance reflects continued customer trust in the brand, adding that existing Kia owners upgrading to the new Seltos underscores the strength of the company's product proposition. He noted that the Clavis EV continues to see positive demand, supported by government policies promoting EV adoption and the company's recently introduced Battery-as-a-Service program.
The new Seltos has reinforced its position in the mid-size SUV segment through updated design, connected technology features, and a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, which the company describes as the highest score among ICE vehicles tested to date. The Sonet remained a steady contributor to overall volumes, while the Carens and Carens Clavis catered to family and lifestyle-oriented buyers, broadening the company's customer base across segments.
On the electric vehicle front, the Clavis EV has continued to gain traction, which the company said reflects its broader push to make premium EV technology more accessible in the Indian market.
Kia India's retail network now spans 892 touchpoints across 407 cities, supported by 133 certified pre-owned outlets offering instant payments and vehicle exchange services. The company said it remains focused on expanding this footprint as it enters the second half of the year, with management indicating continued emphasis on new product launches and ownership experience as key growth levers.
