Kia India Expands EV And Multi-Powertrain Portfolio
The Syros EV has added another electric model to Kia India’s portfolio and, according to the company, is gaining demand. Kia’s current EV range also includes the Carens Clavis EV, EV6 and EV9.
The newly launched Sorento is offered in India with diesel and hybrid powertrain options. Kia has also introduced CNG versions of the Carens and Carens Clavis, giving its portfolio petrol, diesel, CNG, hybrid and electric powertrain options.
For its EV range, Kia India offers an Assured Buyback programme, Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) and a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty. The company says these programmes are intended to address acquisition cost, battery assurance and resale value considerations.
