Kia India launched a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem on July 9, 2025, featuring the K-Charge platform that provides access to over 11,000 charging points across India and a network of 250+ EV-ready workshops, ahead of the July 15 launch of its first made-in-India electric vehicle, the Carens Clavis EV.

Kia India launched a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem on July 9, 2025, featuring the K-Charge platform that provides access to over 11,000 charging points across India and a network of 250+ EV-ready workshops, ahead of the July 15 launch of its first made-in-India electric vehicle, the Carens Clavis EV.
The mass-premium automaker developed the integrated EV infrastructure to address common concerns associated with electric vehicle ownership and make EV adoption seamless for customers nationwide. The Carens Clavis EV will be launched through a webcast at 12:00 PM on July 15, 2025.
The K-Charge platform, integrated within the MyKia app, offers access to a fast-growing network of charging points in collaboration with 18 leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs). The network spans both urban and highway routes, supporting daily commutes and long-distance travel.
Kia's EV Route Planner, accessible through the company's website and MyKia app, enables customers to locate charging stations, view real-time slot availability, and make payments directly through the app. This eliminates the need for multiple third-party applications and simplifies the charging experience.
The company plans to expand K-Charge charging point access to over 20,000 by mid-2026, according to the announcement.
Kia has established a dedicated network of over 250 EV-ready workshops across India, equipped with specialized tools, equipment, and trained EV technicians. More than 100 Kia dealerships are equipped with DC Fast Chargers ranging from 60kW to 240kW, allowing customers to charge quickly during routine visits.
The company also offers advanced home charging solutions supporting 7.4kW and 11kW AC chargers, providing flexible and efficient at-home charging options that exceed most mass-market EV offerings in India.

Kia India began mass production in August 2019 at its Anantapur facility with an installed annual production capacity of 300,000 units. The company has completed almost 1.5 million vehicle dispatches from its Anantapur plant, including over 1.2 million domestic sales and over 367,000 exports.
The brand operates through 744 touchpoints across 329 cities and has over 450,000 connected cars on Indian roads. Kia India has launched eight vehicles for the Indian market, including the Seltos, Syros, Sonet, Carens, Carnival, EV6, EV9, and the newly introduced Carens Clavis.
Globally, Kia has established EV technology leadership with models like the EV6, which won World Performance Car of the Year in 2023, and the flagship EV9 and EV3, both named World Car of the Year.
