Kia EV3 Wins 2025 World Car of the Year

The Kia EV3 has won the 2025 World Car of the Year award, announced at the World Car Awards ceremony during the 2025 New York International Auto Show. The award was judged by 96 automotive journalists from 30 countries, recognizing the EV3 for its design and technological innovation.

This win marks Kia’s sixth victory at the World Car Awards since 2020. The EV3 brings features from Kia’s EV9 to the compact electric SUV segment, offering a range of up to 605 km and fast-charging capability from 10-80% in 31 minutes. It includes Kia’s AI Assistant, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.

Commenting on the recognition, Ho Sung Song, President and CEO at Kia, stated, “It is an immense honor for everyone at Kia that the EV3 has been awarded the 2025 World Car of Year title. This award highlights Kia’s global leadership in providing design-led, technologically advanced, sustainable mobility solutions and how the EV3’s class-leading attributes redefine the user experience for customers worldwide.”

The EV3 features a spacious interior, advanced technology, and a bold exterior. Its recognition at the World Car Awards is based on its features and performance in the compact electric SUV segment.
