Kia India has expanded the automatic transmission options for the Carens Clavis by introducing a turbo-petrol DCT on the HTE (EX) and HTE (O) variants, along with a diesel automatic option on the HTE (O) trim.
The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with a DCT is priced at Rs 15.22 lakh on the HTE (EX) and Rs 14.67 lakh on the HTE (O), both ex-showroom. The 1.5-litre diesel with an automatic transmission is available on the HTE (O) at Rs 15.82 lakh, ex-showroom.
According to Kia, the new variants are aimed at expanding the availability of automatic transmissions to buyers considering the value trims of the Carens Clavis. The company said the additions respond to increasing customer preference for automatic transmissions, particularly for urban driving.
The new automatic variants come with an Automatic Pack comprising a smart key with motion sensor, push-button start, drive modes, electronic parking brake and remote engine start.
With the latest additions, the Carens Clavis is available with automatic transmission options across both petrol and diesel powertrains. Kia said the expanded line-up gives customers the option to choose between a turbo-petrol DCT and diesel automatic based on their requirements and budget.
The Carens Clavis is positioned as a family-oriented model, combining three-row practicality with comfort and technology. The new automatic variants extend these features to lower-priced versions of the model.
