Kazam Launches Digital Infrastructure Program to Accelerate Unified Bharat e-Charge Adoption
The integration framework enables EV charge point operators to connect existing assets to the national open interoperability network without initial installation costs.
EV charging and energy management firm Kazam has announced a nationwide seven-day integration program to onboard eligible Charge Point Operators onto the Unified Bharat e-Charge network. The technical initiative utilizes Kazam’s specialized Beckn Provider Platform to link existing private charging infrastructure to the emerging open-access ecosystem.
The Unified Bharat e-Charge platform is being developed by the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, and the National Payments Corporation of India to function as an open interoperability framework for domestic electric mobility. The shared architecture is designed to allow electric vehicle drivers to locate stations, review live asset availability, compare pricing tariffs, and complete payment transactions across multiple participating networks through a unified, compatible application. The digital program, which opens on July 14, 2026, offers end-to-end technical onboarding support encompassing network assessments, Open Charge Point Interface protocol integration, and initial sandbox testing validation.
Akshay Shekhar, Co-founder and CEO of Kazam, stated that the program aims to remove capital barriers for capable operators seeking to join the national network by providing the necessary provider-side digital infrastructure.
