Kawasaki has revealed the Z300 in India, an entry-level naked motorcycle based on the Ninja 300, at an event in Bengaluru. It expands the company’s Z-series street-naked range. Bookings open on October 19, and Kawasaki will announce the price, variant details and full specifications on October 20.
The Z300 uses the Ninja 300’s 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, which produces 39hp and 26.1Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle has a street-naked design with styling cues from the Z900. Unlike the fully faired Ninja 300, it has a wide, upright, single-piece handlebar intended to give a more relaxed riding position.
It gets a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. The Ninja 300 uses a semi-digital instrument console.
The Z300 will be offered in Green and Black. After the Bengaluru showcase, it will be displayed in Mumbai and Pune on October 18.
The Ninja 300 is currently priced at Rs 3.34 lakh, ex-showroom. The Z300’s price has not been announced.
