Jupiter Electric Mobility Opens Five New Showrooms Across India

Jupiter Electric Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (JEM), the electric commercial vehicle division of Jupiter Wagons Limited, has opened five new showrooms across India as part of a coordinated expansion drive.

The new locations include New Delhi, Ghaziabad, Trivandrum, Ahmedabad, and Pune, bringing JEM's total showroom count to seven cities nationwide. The company previously operated dealerships in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

The showrooms will display and provide test drives for the JEM TEZ, the company's flagship electric light commercial vehicle. The 1.05-ton, four-wheeler vehicle features a certified range exceeding 300 kilometers, 80 kW peak motor power, and 23% gradeability.

Each location offers trained product specialists, customer consultations, and on-site vehicle demonstrations. The expansion targets fleet operators, logistics companies, and last-mile delivery businesses across different regional markets.

JEM selected the cities based on their logistics infrastructure and electric vehicle adoption rates. Delhi benefits from the city's EV Policy 2.0, which aims for 95% electric vehicle adoption by 2027. Maharashtra and Gujarat together represent 22.1% of India's commercial vehicle market. Kerala has registered over 235,000 electric vehicles with an 11.33% EV market share.

Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Group, stated that the simultaneous launch demonstrates the company's commitment to establishing a national footprint in the electric commercial vehicle segment. The expansion strategy includes upcoming showrooms planned for Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

The company has established partnerships with Porter, Pulse Energy, Battwheel, Automovill, and Tapfin to support charging infrastructure, financing options, and after-sales service. JEM also operates the JEM Udaan program, which provides business assistance to vehicle owners and drivers.

JEM is a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons Limited, which manufactures freight wagons, locomotives, commercial vehicles, and related components. Jupiter Wagons has manufacturing facilities in Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Indore, Jabalpur, and Aurangabad.
