In less than two months, the eHUB by MG app has reached 15,000 downloads, offering a comprehensive EV charging solution with 28 partners and 80% fast charging coverage.
MG Motor India has announced that its eHUB by MG app has crossed 15,000 downloads since its launch on August 6, 2024. The app, designed to offer charging solutions for electric vehicles, currently collaborates with 28 charging partners and covers approximately 80% of the fast charging network in India.
The eHUB by MG app is rated 4.6 on the Play Store and 4.3 on the App Store, with around 17 million green kilometers and approximately 30,000 trips planned through the app to date. It provides a centralised platform where users can locate EV chargers, reserve them, start the charging process, and pay—all within the app. This feature simplifies the charging experience and eliminates the need for multiple apps and wallets.
Additionally, customers of the recently introduced MG Windsor, described as India's first Intelligent Crossover Utility Vehicle, will receive one year of free charging when using the eHUB by MG app. MG Motor India aims to support the adoption of electric vehicles through initiatives like this app, aiming to simplify the EV ownership experience for consumers.
JSW MG Motor India is a collaboration between JSW Group and MG Motor that focuses on supporting the growth of electric mobility in India. This partnership helps to contribute to the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by working on initiatives such as charging infrastructure development, vehicle manufacturing, and technology integration.
MG Motor is expanding its EV offerings, while JSW Group contributes its side in infrastructure and sustainable energy solutions. Initiatives like the eHUB by MG app are part of their efforts to provide charging solutions and promote the use of EVs in the country.
