JSW MG Motor India announced a price hike of up to 2% across its product range, effective January 1, 2026. The increase, which will vary by model and variant, is attributed to rising input costs and macroeconomic factors.

The price adjustment will apply to all vehicle offerings from the automaker, marking the company's response to current market conditions. The move follows similar announcements by other manufacturers, with Mercedes-Benz India and BYD India also implementing price increases from January 2026 due to rising operational costs and currency pressures.

The announcement comes amid an industry-wide trend of price revisions. Earlier automakers including Mahindra, Hyundai, Honda, and Skoda announced price increases ranging from 2% to 3% for their vehicles, citing elevated input costs and operational expenses.

JSW MG Motor India operates as a joint venture between SAIC Motor, a Fortune 500 company with presence in over 100 countries, and JSW Group, India's conglomerate with interests across B2B and B2C sectors. The partnership was formed in 2023.

The company's manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, has an annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 vehicles and employs 6,000 people directly and indirectly.

Morris Garages, founded in the UK in 1924, has introduced several vehicles in the Indian market, including the MG Hector, MG ZS EV, MG Gloster, MG Astor, MG Comet, and MG Windsor.
