JSW MG Motor India Posts 32% Growth in 2025, Luxury Channel Crosses 1,000 Sales

JSW MG Motor India has reported a 32% year-to-date wholesale growth for the January-November 2025 period compared to the same timeframe last year, the company announced on Sunday. The automaker sold 5,754 units in November 2025 alone.

The growth comes as the company's portfolio of internal combustion engine and electric vehicle models continues to gain traction in the market. JSW MG Motor India attributed the performance to steady demand across its product range.

A significant development for the automaker has been the performance of MG SELECT, its luxury retail channel. The division has crossed the 1,000-unit sales mark since its launch and currently holds the second position in India's luxury electric vehicle segment.

The MG SELECT lineup includes the M9 Presidential Limousine and the MG Cyberster, which the company describes as India's highest-selling sports car. Strong demand for the Cyberster has resulted in a waiting period extending to four to five months, according to the company.

JSW MG Motor India is a joint venture formed in 2023 between SAIC Motor, a Fortune 500 company with operations in over 100 countries, and JSW Group, one of India's leading conglomerates. The partnership aims to develop a range of vehicles incorporating advanced technologies.

The Morris Garages brand, originally founded in the United Kingdom in 1924, operates a manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, with an annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 vehicles. The facility employs 6,000 people directly and indirectly.

The company's current product portfolio in India includes the MG Hector, MG ZS EV, MG Gloster, MG Astor, MG Comet, and MG Windsor, spanning multiple segments from compact cars to premium SUVs.
