JSW MG Motor India Expands EV Portfolio with New Windsor Exclusive PRO Variant

JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG Windsor Exclusive PRO variant as part of its expanding electric vehicle lineup. The new variant, available at an ex-showroom price of ₹17,24,800, features a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack offering a certified range of 449 kilometers (MIDC P1+P2).

The company is also offering the model under its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) pricing scheme at ₹12.24 lakh plus ₹4.5 per kilometer. Customers can book the vehicle at MG dealerships with a payment of ₹11,000, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the first week of June.

Positioned between the Essence and Essence PRO variants in the MG Windsor portfolio, the Exclusive PRO aims to make the larger battery option available at a more accessible price point.

Rakesh Sen, Head of Sales at JSW MG Motor India, noted that the introduction follows strong market response to the Windsor lineup, with over 8,000 bookings recorded within 24 hours of the initial launch.

The Windsor Exclusive PRO comes equipped with dual-tone Ivory and Black interiors, an AeroGlide design language, and reclinable Aero Lounge seats. Technology features include a 15.6-inch Grandview Touch Display with nine speakers and the i-SMART connected system offering over 80 features and 100 AI-based voice commands.

Available in three color options—Pearl White, Starry Black, and Turquoise Green—the vehicle comes with 18-inch dual-tone machined alloy wheels. The company is offering a lifetime battery warranty to the first owner, along with a 3-60 assured buyback plan that guarantees 60% of the vehicle's value after three years.

JSW MG Motor India is a joint venture formed in 2023 between SAIC Motor, a global Fortune 500 company, and JSW Group, an Indian conglomerate. The partnership aims to strengthen India's automotive manufacturing ecosystem while developing a diverse portfolio of vehicles with modern technologies.

The MG Windsor joins the company's existing electric vehicle lineup in India, which includes the MG ZS EV and MG Comet. The complete Windsor portfolio now spans five variants across two battery pack options—38 kWh and 52.9 kWh—with prices ranging from ₹13.99 lakh to ₹18.09 lakh.

The Indian electric vehicle market has seen increasing competition with multiple manufacturers introducing new models across various price segments as the government pushes for electric mobility adoption through incentives and infrastructure development.
