JSW MG Motor India Donates Retrofitted Hector Ambulance to Chinmaya Mission Delhi
JSW MG Motor India has delivered a specially equipped MG Hector ambulance to Chinmaya Mission Delhi under its MG Sewa initiative, enhancing medical response capabilities during community programmes and residential camps.
JSW MG Motor India handed over a retrofitted MG Hector ambulance to Chinmaya Mission Delhi on January 30, 2026, as part of its community service initiative MG Sewa. The vehicle was presented at a ceremony held at the Chinmaya Centre of World Understanding on Lodhi Road.
The ambulance is designed to strengthen medical preparedness during the Mission's community programmes, which serve diverse age groups from children to senior citizens. The retrofitted vehicle includes oxygen delivery systems, patient monitoring equipment, an auto loader stretcher, and customised medical storage compartments.
Padma Shri awardee Dr. Ganesh Kumar Mani, Chairman of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, served as chief guest at the handover ceremony. Dr. Mani addressed attendees on preventive healthcare, emphasising the importance of immediate medical response during emergencies.
"Heart disease is the leading cause of mortality worldwide," Dr. Mani stated. "The golden hour matters – preparedness and immediate medical response often determine outcomes."
Yeshwinder Patial, Chief Human Resource Officer at JSW MG Motor India, participated in the ceremonial proceedings. He noted that the Hector's robust construction, advanced technology, and spacious design make it suitable for emergency medical support.
"This initiative reflects our dedication to strengthening healthcare access and contributing meaningfully to society," Patial said.
Brahmachari Soham Chaitanya and Shri Jatinder Dhir received the ambulance keys on behalf of Chinmaya Mission Delhi. The ceremony was attended by trustees, volunteers, healthcare professionals, and community members.
The ambulance will support medical readiness during residential camps and educational programmes organised by Chinmaya Mission Delhi. These programmes regularly bring together large gatherings across multiple age demographics.
Chinmaya Mission maintains active involvement in healthcare through various institutions. Chinmaya Mission Hospital in Bengaluru has expanded from a small clinic into a major healthcare facility serving hundreds of thousands of patients while continuing to provide free and subsidised care. The Chinmaya Institute of Nursing trains healthcare professionals, extending the Mission's healthcare contributions beyond direct treatment.
Chinmaya Mission Delhi has scheduled additional healthcare initiatives for the year, including an eye camp, free health screenings for women, and dedicated health assessments for children.
