John Deere India has sold more than 1 lakh tractors in India within a single Deere fiscal year, marking a new annual sales milestone for the company's domestic operations. The company announced the achievement on November 3, 2026.

The milestone comes as John Deere continues to expand its presence in India's agricultural mechanisation market, catering to different crops, farming practices and agro-climatic conditions through its locally developed product portfolio.

Commenting on the development, Rajesh Sinha, Managing Director and Country Manager, John Deere India, and Strategic Advisor to the President, Construction & Forestry Worldwide, said the sales milestone reflected demand from Indian farmers and channel partners. He added that the company would continue to focus on equipment, technology and solutions aimed at improving farm productivity and operational efficiency.

John Deere India also serves as an export base for the global business, with products manufactured in the country exported to more than 110 countries. The company's Indian operations include tractor manufacturing facilities in Pune and Dewas, alongside engineering and enterprise technology capabilities in Pune.

The company has been present in India for more than 28 years. Its other operations include global IT facilities in Pune and Bengaluru, parts distribution centres in Nagpur and Indore, and financial services operations based in Pune.

John Deere said its domestic dealer network, after-sales service infrastructure, employees and suppliers contributed to achieving the annual sales milestone. However, the company did not disclose a comparative annual sales figure or provide a breakdown of the 1 lakh tractors sold by product category.
