JNV Group Names Sandeep Jad as Automotive CEO
The Mumbai-based industrial conglomerate has appointed the 27-year industry veteran to lead its automotive business as the sector undergoes rapid technological transformation.
The JNV Group has appointed Sandeep Jad as Chief Executive Officer of its Automotive business, the Mumbai-based conglomerate announced on Thursday. The appointment is effective immediately.
Jad brings over 27 years of experience in the automotive and mobility sectors, having held senior leadership roles across multinational and Indian original equipment manufacturers. His background spans strategic sourcing, project management, operations, process excellence, and quality management.
The JNV Group's automotive portfolio includes Sujan ContiTech AVS, Polyrub CooperStandard FTS, WBTL India, JNV Gold, Polyrub Plastics, Mega KLC Polymer Technologies, CGS, and Intrenio. The group operates 20 manufacturing facilities and three technical centres across India, serving global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers across passenger cars, commercial vehicles, two- and three-wheelers, and agricultural equipment.
Vijay J Sujan, Director of the JNV Group, described the hire as timely, noting that the group is evolving its portfolio and moving into new areas such as mechatronics. He said the group's vision includes diversifying into braking systems incorporating advanced driver-assistance technology, as well as suspension products, with an ambition to rank among the top 50 companies in the automotive parts segment.
In a statement, Jad acknowledged that the Indian automobile industry is undergoing significant technological change. He said his immediate priority would be to build on the group's existing strengths while delivering greater value to customers through new technologies and an expanded product range.
