JLR India has reported its highest-ever annual sales performance, with retail volumes reaching 6,183 units in FY25, marking a 40% year-on-year increase. The company's wholesale volumes also grew by 39% to 6,266 units, establishing a new benchmark in its 17-year history in the Indian market.

The record performance was highlighted by exceptional quarterly results in Q4 FY25, with retail sales of 1,793 units representing a 110% year-on-year growth and wholesale figures of 1,710 units showing a 118% increase compared to the same period last year.

Defender emerged as the highest-selling model with 90% growth, followed by locally manufactured Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, which grew at 72% and 42% respectively. This strong performance has effectively doubled JLR India's annual retail sales over the past two years.

"We are incredibly proud to announce our all-time best performance in FY25. JLR India has outpaced the luxury car industry with retail and wholesale growth of around 40% in the current year on the back of 81% year-on-year growth in FY24," said Mr. Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India.

"This success is a testimony to our strong brands, a focus on 'customer love' and a product portfolio with unparalleled design, unmatched capability and impeccable luxury," he added.

FY25 was marked by significant product launches, including the Defender OCTA and the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition, the first limited edition crafted specifically for India, which sold out within a week of its launch. The company also began local manufacturing of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models, which has received strong market response.

Throughout the year, JLR India implemented several customer service initiatives, including nationwide monsoon and holiday service clinics that saw participation from over 2,000 clients. The company also offered customer-friendly service plans, with approximately 20-25% of new JLR car buyers opting for the 5-year Service Plan.

The third edition of Defender Journeys, a luxury experiential program featuring self-drive itineraries across India, has become popular among luxury travel enthusiasts, with over 500 clients participating in 45 journeys to date.

JLR India continues to expand its retail network, which currently spans 21 cities through 25 authorized outlets, as part of its commitment to enhancing customer experience at all touchpoints.
