JK Tyre has reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 60 crore for Q2 FY27, supported by record quarterly revenue across domestic and international markets.
The company achieved its highest-ever consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 4,850 crore for Q2 FY27, representing a 20 percent year-on-year increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Profit before tax reached Rs 94 crore for the three-month period.
Domestic operations were buoyed by automotive demand following fiscal changes under GST 2.0, with the company recording a 65 percent year-on-year growth in original equipment manufacturer sales and a 32 percent expansion in total domestic sales. On the international front, Mexican subsidiary JK Tornel generated revenue of Rs 479 crore during the quarter. The operational gains were achieved despite higher raw material input costs and elevated global ocean container freight rates caused by West Asian geopolitical disruptions.
Net profit was squeezed by elevated operating and input expenses. Raw material costs accounted for the largest share of expenditure, reaching Rs 3,392.71 crore as natural rubber prices and key crude oil-derived inputs remained inflated, taking total direct material expenses to Rs 3,401.26 crore or 70.3 percent of total revenue.
Raghupati Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of JK Tyre & Industries Limited, said, "This performance was broad-based across markets & product segments. Looking ahead, we remain optimistic on the demand backed by healthy customer traction visible across segments and we continue to remain focused on delivering sustainable and profitable growth."
