JK Tyre partners with EKA Mobility to offer advanced mobility solutions

JK Tyre & Industries has announced a strategic partnership with EKA Mobility, a prominent player in the electric mobility sector with equity partners Mitsui Co., Ltd. (Japan) and VDL Groep (Netherlands). This collaboration enhances JK Tyre’s position as an industry leader in "Connected Mobility Solutions," featuring a unique cloud-based monitoring system. The partnership agreement was formalised in Pune, attended by Sanjeev Sharma, AVP, Fleet Management & Mobility Solutions at JK Tyre, and Vijaykumar Yelne, President of EKA Mobility.

Under this partnership, JK Tyre will supply EKA's fleet with its next-generation EV tyres equipped with Connected Treel Sensors for real-time monitoring. JK Tyre will also provide round-the-clock support through a dedicated team of professionals stationed at depots and offering enroute assistance. Initially, the support will focus on EKA's fleet in Mumbai, with plans to expand across all cities.

The collaboration aims develop and produce new-generation EV tyres, specifically designed to meet the demands of electric vehicles. JK Tyre's mobility solutions manage fleets for leading brands across the country, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency with innovative products.

EKA Mobility, known for its end-to-end design, manufacturing, and technology of electric commercial vehicles, has introduced various electric and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles tailored for Indian customers. The partnership with JK Tyre is set to further EKA’s mission of sustainable mobility.
