JK Tyre Launches Four New OTR Tyres For Construction And Mining
JK Tyre has introduced four new OTR tyre sizes at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2026 for self-loading concrete mixers, backhoe loaders, telehandlers and mining tippers.
JK Tyre & Industries has launched four new off-the-road (OTR) tyre solutions at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2026 in Greater Noida, targeting construction, material handling and mining applications. The new range includes tyres for self-loading concrete mixers (SLCMs), backhoe loaders, telehandlers and mining tippers.
The new products comprise the 12.5/80-18 MPT 45 16PR TL, 16/70-20 MPT117 14PR TL, 18-19.5 MPT117 18PR TL and 12.00R20 JDO XD OTR 22PR 156/153F TT. The first three are intended for construction and material-handling equipment, while the JDO XD is designed for mining tipper applications.
JK Tyre said the tyres have been developed with Indian operating conditions in mind, with the range focused on durability, load-carrying capability, traction and service life. The company is also positioning the products for applications where machine uptime and operating costs are key considerations.
JK Tyre MPT 45 And MPT117 OTR Tyres
The MPT 45 pattern has been developed for SLCMs and backhoe loaders operating across mixed terrain. According to JK Tyre, its tread design is intended to provide traction and stability while promoting even wear and longer service life.
The MPT117 pattern is aimed at construction and material-handling operations involving SLCMs and telehandlers. The tyre uses an optimised tread geometry intended to provide grip, durability and manoeuvrability in challenging operating conditions. The 18-19.5 MPT117 has been introduced specifically for SLCM applications.
JK Tyre JDO XD Targets Mining Tippers
The 12.00R20 JDO XD OTR 22PR 156/153F TT has been developed for mining tippers, where JK Tyre identifies durability and load performance as key requirements.
The tyre features a heavy-duty construction and reinforced casing designed to improve resistance to cuts, chips and abrasions in mining applications.
JK Tyre Director – Sales & Marketing Srinivasu Allaphan said the company's OTR product development is focused on application-specific requirements and the operating conditions faced by construction, infrastructure and mining equipment. He added that the latest products are intended to improve equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
The launch forms part of JK Tyre's expansion of its OTR business across construction, mining and specialised industrial segments. The company said the developments are also intended to strengthen its OEM connectivity and presence in higher-value, performance-intensive applications.
