JK Tyre & Industries Appoints Mandar V Deo as President for India Operations

Mandar V Deo, a mechanical engineer and business school graduate with over two decades of senior leadership experience, will report directly to the Chairman and Managing Director.

JK Tyre & Industries Limited has named Mandar V Deo as its new President for India, effective immediately. Deo, 50, will report to Chairman & Managing Director Dr. Raghupati Singhania and Managing Director Anshuman Singhania, and will be based in New Delhi.

Deo holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University, a Master's degree and a PhD from Pennsylvania State University, and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He brings more than two decades of experience in senior leadership roles at organisations including Exide Energy Solutions Limited, Cummins India, and Cummins Inc.

"I am confident that Deo will provide strong and adept leadership and steer JK Tyre on a new growth trajectory," said Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, JK Tyre & Industries.

JK Tyre & Industries is one of the world's top 20 tyre manufacturers. The company operates 11 manufacturing facilities across India and Mexico, with a combined annual production capacity of over 35 million tyres. Its products are distributed in more than 105 countries across six continents under the JK Tyre, Vikrant, and Tornel brand names.

The company, which introduced radial tyre technology to India in 1977, operates the Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence in Mysore, a research and technology centre equipped with advanced evaluation and testing facilities. JK Tyre has also been recognised for its environmental commitments, becoming the first Indian tyre manufacturer to join the global RE100 initiative, pledging to source 100 percent of its electricity from renewable energy by 2050.
