JK Fenner Appoints Jegapriyan Govindarajan As President

The appointment comes as the industrial and automotive components supplier expands its portfolio across EV-related opportunities, digital technologies and broader industrial applications.

JK Fenner (India) Limited has appointed Jegapriyan Govindarajan as president, effective immediately. He will be based in Chennai and report to the vice chairman and managing director, Vikrampati Singhania.

Govindarajan joins JK Fenner from Garrett Motion Technologies India, where he served as managing director and general manager for India. He brings nearly three decades of experience across automotive and industrial sectors, having also held leadership positions at Tecumseh Products Company and Valeo Lighting Systems India.

A mechanical engineering graduate from Madurai Kamaraj University, Govindarajan also holds a postgraduate diploma in business management from XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Commenting on the appointment, Vikrampati Singhania, vice chairman and managing director, JK Fenner, said, “I am confident that Mr Govindarajan will provide strong and adept leadership and steer JK Fenner on a new growth trajectory.”

JK Fenner operates nine manufacturing facilities and four R&D centres across India. Its product portfolio includes oil seals, hoses, gearboxes, geared motors, pulleys, front-end accessory drive systems, belt tensioners and moulded rubber products, serving sectors such as automotive, agriculture, power, steel, cement and textiles.

The company said it is expanding its portfolio to address emerging opportunities in the electric vehicle ecosystem while increasing its focus on digital technologies and sustainability initiatives.
