Jeep India Launches Grand Cherokee Signature Edition with Premium Features

Jeep India announced the launch of the Grand Cherokee Signature Edition on June 12, 2025, marking the introduction of a premium variant designed for customers seeking enhanced luxury features. The new edition will be available at dealerships starting June 13, 2025, priced at INR 1,54,000 above the fully loaded Limited (O) variant.

The Signature Edition includes three primary additions to the standard Grand Cherokee: motorized side steps for easier vehicle access, a dual rear-seat entertainment system, and integrated front and rear dash cameras. The rear entertainment package features two 11.6-inch Android-based screens with high-resolution IPS panels, powered by a Cortex A55 2.0 GHz processor. The system includes built-in speakers and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and auxiliary connections with dual-screen control functionality.

The integrated dash camera system provides 360-degree awareness around the vehicle, offering both front and rear recording capabilities. These features position the Signature Edition as a technology-focused variant within Jeep's Indian lineup.

Kumar Priyesh, Business Head and Director of Automotive Brands at Stellantis India, stated that the edition addresses customer demand for enhanced luxury features and smart technology integration. The company describes the variant as having limited availability, though specific production numbers were not disclosed.

Jeep's current Indian portfolio consists of four models: the Wrangler, Compass, Meridian, and Grand Cherokee. India serves as the first market outside North America where Jeep manufactures four models locally, with production also supporting exports to other right-hand drive markets globally.

The Grand Cherokee competes in India's luxury SUV segment, where manufacturers regularly introduce special editions and feature-enhanced variants to differentiate their offerings. The addition of rear entertainment systems and advanced driver assistance features reflects broader industry trends toward technology integration in premium vehicles.

Stellantis, Jeep's parent company, operates as a global automaker with a portfolio that includes 14 automotive brands across various market segments. The company's Indian operations focus on local manufacturing and export capabilities for multiple international markets.
