Jeep Compass Anniversary Edition revealed
Compass Anniversary Edition gets dual-tone decal on bonnet, red seat covers.
Jeep has introduced a special Anniversary Edition of the Compass as it celebrates the SUV’s eighth anniversary in India. The limited-run model gets some visual enhancements and an exclusive set of accessories over the standard version to set it apart. Bookings for the Compass Anniversary Edition are open at authorised dealerships and online.
The Compass Anniversary Edition gets a dual-tone decal on the bonnet as well as a Velvet Red embellishment on the sixth grille slot. On the inside, it gets Velvet Red seat covers, along with accessories such as an integrated dashcam and white ambient lighting. The company hasn’t revealed if the Anniversary Edition will be based on a specific trim, or available with all variants.
Powering the Jeep Compass is a sole 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine making 170hp and 350Nm of peak torque. The transmission options on offer include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed AT. It is yet to be revealed if the Compass Anniversary Edition will be offered with both gearbox options. The SUV gets a front-wheel drive configuration as standard, while the top-end Model S (O) also gets an optional 4WD setup.
Pricing for the Compass starts from Rs 18.99 lakh, going all the way up to Rs 32.41 lakh. It goes up against the Volkswagen Tiguan and Hyundai Tucson, while also faces competition from the Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV700.
