JBM Auto Captures 24% of India's Electric Bus Market in FY26
Company registers 1,282 e-buses across five states, holds over 79% share in electric tarmac buses and 50% in intercity luxury coaches.
JBM Auto Limited registered 1,282 electric buses across Telangana, Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Assam in FY26, securing a 24% share of India's electric bus market and emerging as the country's top e-bus manufacturer by volume.
The New Delhi-based company also commands over 79% of the electric tarmac bus segment and more than 50% of the intercity luxury coach market. Its current order book stands at over 10,000 electric buses.

JBM Auto operates what it describes as the world's largest dedicated integrated electric bus manufacturing facility outside China, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 units. Its portfolio spans city, intercity, luxury coach, school, staff, tarmac and special-purpose electric vehicles. The company has set a target of clocking over 3 billion e-kilometres globally within the next few years.
The company targets 60% EV penetration in India's bus segment by 2030.
