Jakson Green Vehicles (JGV) has selected Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Platform for the design and development of its electric vehicles. The deployment is intended to create a unified digital environment across the product development lifecycle and support engineering workflows.
The platform will connect teams and suppliers while supporting approvals and engineering change management through standardised libraries and automated workflows. Dassault Systèmes said the deployment will also enable earlier virtual validation of designs, allowing potential issues to be identified before manufacturing and reducing physical rework and development costs.
3DEXPERIENCE Platform To Support JGV Electric Vehicle Development
JGV is developing an urban zero-emission mobility ecosystem in India. The company said the adoption of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform will allow it to move from legacy engineering environments to a unified digital thread covering product development.
According to JGV CEO Deepak Thakur, the platform is intended to support a collaborative approach to product lifecycle management, with the company targeting shorter time-to-market and lower development costs.
Platform To Enable Digital Continuity Across Product Development
The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform will provide a collaborative environment connecting different teams and suppliers during product development. It will also streamline approvals and engineering change management through standardised libraries and automated workflows.
Dassault Systèmes Managing Director, India, Deepak NG said virtual twin technology can be used to support product design, production and operations as companies adopt digital engineering processes.
JGV Targets Faster Development And Lower Costs
JGV said the transition to a unified digital environment is focused on its early-stage innovation and product design processes. The company expects the approach to help accelerate product development while mitigating development costs.
JGV operates a manufacturing facility in Haryana and manufactures commercial electric vehicles, according to the company.
