Jakson Green E-Mobility announced on Monday that it has emerged as the winning bidder in a tender floated by Convergence Energy Services to deploy 220 electric buses in Gujarat.
The contract, awarded under the central government's PM-eBus Sewa Programme, marks the company's first major public transport fleet win within its first year of e-mobility operations. The project scope entails deploying 120 electric buses in Vadodara, 80 buses in Gandhidham, and 20 buses in Navsari.
Executed under a 12-year Gross Cost Contract model, Jakson Green E-Mobility will oversee the procurement, deployment, daily operation, and maintenance of 9-metre air-conditioned electric buses.
The contract also mandates the development, operation, and maintenance of the dedicated charging infrastructure across all three locations to support fleet availability and daily public transit requirements.
