IONAGE Integrates HPCL EV Charger Network into Its Platform

IONAGE, a digital platform for electric vehicle (EV) charging services in India, has announced the integration of over 5,000 chargers from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) into its system. The partnership is expected to expand the reach and accessibility of public EV charging across the country.

Vimal Kumar, CEO of IONAGE Technologies, said that the integration will help streamline the user experience and support the growing EV ecosystem in India. He added that the move aligns with the company’s broader efforts to make EV charging more accessible through technology-based solutions.

According to data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), EV penetration in India reached 7.8 percent across all vehicle categories in FY 2024–25. In line with the government’s goal of achieving 30 percent EV adoption by 2030, IONAGE has outlined plans to enable over 100,000 charging points and help more than 10,000 small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) enter the EV charging space by 2028.

The companies noted that the collaboration is part of a broader effort to support the shift toward cleaner mobility by making charging easier and more connected for EV users through a tech-enabled platform.

Founded in September 2021, IONAGE began as an aggregator of public EV chargers and has since developed into a full-service platform for EV owners, charge point operators, charger manufacturers, fleet operators, residential societies, and businesses. The platform currently supports more than 5,000 chargers from over 18 charge point operators.
