Industry Explores Future Needs at Diecast Summit 2025

Sessions at the summit focused on advanced simulation methods, modern diecasting equipment, high-performance die steels, and global best practices in die design.

The Tooling business of Godrej Enterprises Group, along with its global partners, hosted the Diecast Summit 2025 on August 19 in Vikhroli, Mumbai. The event was organized in collaboration with technology partners Voestalpine, Oskar Frech Group, Magma, and Kraemer & Grebe.

The summit brought together more than 100 representatives from customer and partner organizations, including Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Endurance Technologies, Super Auto India, Sound Castings, Uno Minda, Spark Minda, as well as industry body GDC Tech.

With the theme “Understanding the Future Needs of Customers,” discussions at the summit focused on innovation in diecasting, building capabilities for complex structural castings, preparing for aerospace applications, and developing a resilient ecosystem for end-to-end solutions. Sessions highlighted advanced simulation methods, modern diecasting equipment, high-performance die steels, and global best practices in die design.

In his opening remarks, Pankaj Abhyankar, Business Head of the Tooling business at Godrej Enterprises Group, said the industry must collectively address customer expectations of agility, dependability, precision, and adaptability. He emphasized the need for “First Time Right” approaches to reduce production lead times.

The event aimed to strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange to support the future growth of India’s diecasting industry.
