Indofast Energy Appoints Kamaldeep Singh as Chief Executive Officer

Singh to lead nationwide battery swapping network expansion.

Indofast Energy announced on Thursday that it has appointed Kamaldeep Singh as the company's Chief Executive Officer. Singh takes charge of the joint venture's operational expansion, with responsibility for scaling its nationwide battery swapping network and managing unit economics across its Battery-as-a-Service operations.

Singh brings over two decades of experience in P&L leadership, consumer businesses, and distributed retail operations. His previous executive roles include serving as Chief Executive Officer of Big Bazaar and Chief Executive Officer of e-commerce platform DealShare.

"I look forward to rapidly scaling our battery swapping network across the country and making EV refuelling seamless and instantaneous for users across India," Singh said.

Indofast Energy is a 50:50 joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) and SUN Mobility that primarily operates Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) models for electric vehicles.
