Indofast Energy and e-Sprinto Partner to Deploy 20,000 Electric Two-Wheelers

Indofast Energy, India's battery-swapping solutions provider, has announced a strategic partnership with electric two-wheeler manufacturer e-Sprinto to deploy 20,000 vehicles across India by 2026. The collaboration aims to address range anxiety and charging downtime through integration of e-Sprinto's vehicles with Indofast Energy's expanding battery-swapping network.

Under the partnership, delivery partners will have access to a two-minute battery swap solution, potentially reducing operational downtime. The rollout will focus on establishing battery-swapping infrastructure along high-demand corridors to serve the quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery sectors.

Anant Badjatya, CEO of Indofast Energy, stated that the partnership demonstrates the company's transition from serving fleet operators to broader consumer segments. "This collaboration demonstrates our readiness to transition from B2B to B2C segments, showcasing the strength and scalability of our infrastructure," Badjatya said.

Atul Gupta, co-founder and director at e-Sprinto, described the partnership as significant for both companies. "Indofast Energy's extensive battery-swapping network perfectly complements our vehicles, offering customers convenience and efficiency," Gupta said.

The partnership aligns with Indofast Energy's roadmap to deploy 2,750 swap stations and support 1.5 lakh vehicles by March 2026. The company has outlined plans to establish 10,000 swapping points across more than 40 Indian cities within three years.

Indofast Energy currently operates over 1,000 battery-swapping stations in 10 states and 22 cities, handling more than 1.4 million battery swaps monthly. The company has previously partnered with vehicle manufacturers including Zypp, Omega Seiki Mobility, and Shadowfax, and infrastructure partners such as IOCL, Indian Railways, and various state electricity boards.

e-Sprinto, established in April 2022, operates across 18+ states with over 120 dealerships and service touchpoints. The company reports having over 30,000 scooters deployed and maintains partnerships with major fleet operators in India.

Indofast Energy is a joint venture between IndianOil Corporation Limited and SUN Mobility, operating under a Battery-as-a-Service model focused on expanding EV adoption through its battery-swapping network.
