The Indian Foundation for Quality Management will host its annual symposium on September 18-19, 2025, at the Taj Palace in New Delhi, focusing on the theme "Quality & Innovation to Make India Globally Competitive." The event will feature Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran as keynote speakers.

The symposium aims to address India's position in global supply chains and manufacturing excellence. Sitharaman will deliver the opening address on "Viksit Bharat - Imperatives and Opportunities," discussing India's path toward becoming a self-reliant and globally respected nation through enhanced economic value addition and social advancement.

Multiple panel discussions will examine sector-specific challenges and opportunities across automotive and engineering, aerospace and defense, electronics and semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare industries.

The agenda includes sessions on integrating artificial intelligence, strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises, and developing India's role as a manufacturing hub for global markets.

Industry leaders from major corporations including Larsen & Toubro, Sun Pharma, TVS Motor Company, Tata Steel, and Motherson Group will participate in various discussions. International perspectives will be provided by executives from Siemens AG, Merck Electronics, Boeing, and other global companies.

The IFQM, established to promote quality management practices in Indian industry, regularly organizes such forums to facilitate knowledge sharing between government policymakers and private sector executives.

The foundation focuses on advancing quality standards and innovation capabilities across Indian manufacturing sectors.

The symposium will also feature the launch of IFQM's digital tools and the announcement of the IFQM Quality Excellence Prize. Cultural performances and networking sessions are scheduled alongside the business discussions.

The event reflects ongoing efforts by Indian industry associations and government bodies to position the country as a competitive manufacturing destination while addressing challenges related to skill development, infrastructure, and technology adoption in various industrial sectors.
