Indian Automation Firm Addverb Adopts Siemens Software Suite for Factory Development

Siemens Digital Industries Software announced Tuesday that Addverb Technologies, an Indian robotics and warehouse automation company, has implemented multiple software solutions from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to enhance its automation development processes and customer service operations.

The partnership centers on three key software platforms: Teamcenter for product lifecycle management, Tecnomatix Plant Simulation for virtual system design, and the Mendix low-code platform for application development.

Addverb has used these tools to create digital twins for most of its automation offerings and streamline its after-sales operations.

According to Sangeet Kumar, CEO of Addverb Technologies, the implementation has transformed the company's approach to equipment management and maintenance.

The software suite has enabled centralized facilities management and structured workflows for issue tracking, allowing the company to identify potential problems before they cause equipment failures.

"We've turned operational pain points into process strengths, helping us deliver smarter, faster, and more reliable services," Kumar stated in the announcement.

Addverb, founded in 2016, specializes in robotics and warehouse automation solutions for various industries. The company has expanded its operations globally and serves clients across manufacturing, logistics, and retail sectors.

The integration of Siemens software represents part of the company's strategy to scale its automation offerings internationally.

The Tecnomatix simulation software allows Addverb to design and validate production systems virtually before physical construction begins. This approach includes modeling third-party components within warehouse systems, enabling optimization of entire logistics processes during the design phase.

Mathew Thomas, vice president and managing director for India at Siemens Digital Industries Software, highlighted the partnership's significance for manufacturing environments in high-growth markets.

The combination of Teamcenter and Mendix platforms aims to accelerate innovation cycles and improve collaboration across engineering teams.

Siemens Xcelerator represents the company's integrated business platform combining software, hardware, and services for digital transformation initiatives. The portfolio serves organizations across industries seeking to optimize design, engineering, and manufacturing processes.

The announcement comes as companies increasingly adopt digital twin technology and simulation software to reduce development costs and improve operational efficiency. The global market for digital twins in manufacturing continues to expand as businesses seek to minimize physical prototyping and testing requirements.
