Imperial Auto Industries has appointed James Gaylord as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of its US subsidiary, Imperial Auto USA Corp. Gaylord will oversee the company's operations across the Americas and report to Vikram Wagh, MD & CEO of Imperial Auto Industries.
The appointment comes as Imperial Auto plans to expand into new markets across the Americas and increase its regional revenues. Gaylord's responsibilities will also include strengthening product engineering and new product development capabilities in the region.
His mandate includes localising the supply chain, improving purchasing capabilities and developing partnerships with suppliers to support Imperial Auto's regional operations. The company has also identified strengthening customer relationships and building local capabilities as part of its broader Americas strategy.
James Gaylord's Automotive Industry Experience
Gaylord joins Imperial Auto with nearly three decades of experience across the automotive and manufacturing sectors. Before joining the company, he was Global Sales Director at Gentex and previously held leadership positions at Johnson Controls, ATI and Tenneco.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Cleary University.
Imperial Auto's Americas Expansion Strategy
Imperial Auto said the Americas is a strategic region for its business and that Gaylord's role will cover expansion into new markets, regional engineering and new product development, supply-chain localisation and purchasing.
Imperial Auto Industries provides fluid transmission solutions and has design, engineering, manufacturing and assembly capabilities across Asia, Europe and the Americas. Its products and assemblies serve passenger and commercial vehicles, construction and agricultural equipment, new energy vehicles, railways and defence.
