iGowise Mobility has opened applications for dealership partners under its Franchise Owned, Franchise Operated (FOFO) model, ahead of the planned start of customer deliveries of its BE iGO X4 electric utility three-wheeler this Diwali. The Bengaluru-based company is initially prioritising dealer appointments in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
The company is offering an 800 sq ft experience-centre format, with an estimated investment of Rs 15–20 lakh, including inventory and working capital. A larger 1,800 sq ft showroom format is also available for high-demand city-centre locations.
The dealership initiative is part of a planned expansion across five cities over the next six months: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai and Panaji. The company subsequently plans to expand across South and Central India before establishing a pan-India network.
BE iGO X4 Specifications and Positioning
The BE iGO X4 is an electric narrow-tilting utility vehicle designed for last-mile delivery, small businesses and family use. Its anti-topple tilting system allows the vehicle to lean into corners, while twin rear wheels provide the carrying capacity associated with three-wheelers.
According to the company, the vehicle features dual-wheel drive with 120 Nm of torque, triple-disc combined braking, a space-frame underbody and its iChargeWise rapid home-charging system. The BE iGO X4 is described as a CMVR-certified, high-speed registered model, with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs certified to AIS-156 standards.
iGowise Mobility Dealership Investment and Margins
The FOFO model is intended for dealership operators, mobility entrepreneurs, distributors and established business owners. Applicants will be assessed on their local market knowledge, automotive industry experience, operating capabilities and ability to manage customer service.
The company has outlined a base dealer margin of 10% per vehicle, with higher margins linked to sales volumes. Its dealership proposal also includes structured lead generation, co-funded local marketing for the first six months and channel-finance arrangements intended to reduce the upfront inventory funding required from dealers.
iGowise Mobility has also proposed a buy-back mechanism for unsold inventory through its MDL model. The company says Super Dealers and Master Distributors may secure district-level exclusivity across up to five districts.
The company estimates that a compact outlet selling 20 vehicles a month could recover its investment in about 16 months. This is a company projection and will depend on actual sales and operating costs.
FOCO Model for Investment Partners
Alongside FOFO dealerships, iGowise Mobility is offering a Franchise Owned, Company Operated (FOCO) model for investors who want to fund a retail outlet without managing its daily operations.
Under this arrangement, the investor owns and funds the outlet, while iGowise Mobility recruits, trains and manages the staff. The company says investors receive a priority share of store earnings before its operating fee is deducted.
The model targets an internal rate of return (IRR) of 24% or more at steady-state sales volumes. The company notes that actual returns will depend on outlet performance, with detailed terms to be shared with shortlisted applicants.
Retail Experience and Expansion Plans
The company plans to operate its dealerships as experience centres, with at-home test rides and a focus on service turnaround times. It says the retail format is intended to accommodate family buyers, including women and older customers.
Following the initial five-city rollout, iGowise Mobility plans to expand regionally across South and Central India before moving towards a pan-India dealership network. It is also evaluating selected international markets, including Kenya and Nigeria.
