Hyundai Motor India Limited announced the launch of a new SX+ variant for its VERNA sedan on Tuesday, alongside the introduction of a Wired to Wireless Adapter that enables wireless smartphone connectivity across seven vehicle models.
The VERNA SX+ is available with both manual transmission and Hyundai's iVT automatic transmission, priced at Rs 13.79 lakh and Rs 15.04 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). The variant includes premium features such as a Bose eight-speaker sound system, leather seat upholstery, front ventilated and heated seats, front parking sensors, and LED headlamps.
The company also introduced its Wired to Wireless Adapter, which provides wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The adapter is now available across seven Hyundai models: Grand i10 NIOS, EXTER, VERNA, AURA, VENUE, VENUE N Line, and ALCAZAR.
Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer at Hyundai Motor India Limited, stated that the introductions align with the company's goal to make premium features more accessible while enhancing connectivity solutions across its product range.
The VERNA sedan currently holds a Global NCAP five-star safety rating. Hyundai positions the vehicle in India's competitive sedan segment, where it competes with models from other manufacturers including Honda, Maruti Suzuki, and Skoda.
