Hyundai CRETA sold 17,497 units domestically this month.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) reported robust sales performance in October, registering total sales of 70,078 units comprising 55,568 domestic units and 14,510 export units.

The company achieved its third-highest monthly sales since inception, highlighting sustained market momentum. SUVs remained a significant driver of the company's sales, contributing 68.2% to the domestic sales volume.

The company recorded its highest-ever monthly SUV sales at 37,902 units, with the Hyundai CRETA alone selling 17,497 units domestically. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer of HMIL, highlighted the company's strong performance during the festive period and said, "We witnessed exceptional demand for our SUV portfolio.”

HMIL also made significant strides in alternative fuel technologies. The company's CNG sales reached a record 8,261 units, representing 14.9% of domestic sales volume. This performance underscores Hyundai's commitment to innovative and environmentally conscious mobility solutions.

Year-to-date figures reveal continued growth, with HMIL achieving total sales of 647,789 units from January to October 2024. Domestic sales grew 1% compared to the same period last year, while exports saw a slight decline of 0.6%.

The company's consistent performance reflects its strong market positioning and ability to meet consumer demands across different vehicle segments.
