Hyundai Creta takes top export honours

The company added four new export destinations

Hyundai India exported 32,799 units of its Creta SUV in 2021. Registering a growth of 26.17 percent YoY,  the company’s export tally was 25, 995 units of the model in 2020. Overall, Hyundai’s exports for 2021 was 42,238 SUVs including Venue (7698 units) and Creta Grand (1741 units). The company also saw a growth of 91 percent in export orders also added four new export destinations:  Dominica, Chad, Ghana and Laos.  Overall, HMIL registered cumulative exports of 130,380 units in CY 2021, up 32 percent over CY 2020. Un Soo Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai India  said, “ HMIL is one of the leading SUV exporters in India with over 2.62 lakh units sent overseas with the Creta contributing to over 93 percent of the total SUV exports, along with the Venue.  A few global markets also saw quick recovery post Covid, generating significant pent-up demand."
