Hyundai Construction Equipment India unveils new excavators and forklifts

The new generation of the Global HX Series 50-tonne class excavator is targeted for heavy-duty mining applications.

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment India on Friday announced the launch of multiple products to cater to the infrastructure, mining, and material handling industries. It includes four excavator models, a couple of forklift models, and wheel loaders, the company said in a statement.

According to the company, the new generation of the Global HX Series 50-tonne class excavator is targeted for heavy-duty mining applications. Secondly, the three new models were launched in the SMART Plus series of excavators in the 8-tonne, 14-tonne, and 15-tonne segments for the infrastructure segment. Further, two new models of wheeled loaders with a 3-tonne and 5-tonne payload were launched to cater to the infrastructure and mining segments. Also, the company launched two new models of electric forklifts in the 2.5-tonne and 3.0-tonne material handling equipment categories.

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment India,  a part of Hyundai Construction Equipment South Korea, started operations in 2007 and rolled out the first machine in 2008 from Chakan Factory. The company claims to be in the number two position in the domestic market, selling over 45,000 excavators. It also exports to around 37 countries in SAARC, MEA, and Asia. It is also importing mini excavators and material handling equipment from South Korea for the Indian market.
